REQUIRED REHEARSAL Friday, February 6th after school from 2:15-4:15
McQueen orchestra and our judge, Sara Caswell, will be joining us at 3:15.
If a student has a conflict, parents must email Mrs. Neidhold by March 5th. We will celebrate with Doughboy’s Donuts at the end of rehearsal.

Golden Strings - Jazz in the Schools * UNR Music Department
Saturday, February 7, 2026 10:15 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.
This is the third year Billinghurst Golden Strings will perform at Jazz in the Schools Festival. This is a wonderful event and great experience for the students. The schedule is listed below. Parents provide transportation to and from UNR and I encourage families to carpool if they have conflicts with this schedule. Below is a map of the drop off and pick up location. The WCSD permission form must be returned for this event. Parent parking is in the Whalen Parking Garage. It is likely this parking is free on the weekend, but please check signage and the UNR website for confirmation.
We need 3 chaperones (or more) and this event will be cancelled if we do not have enough chaperones. Parents are welcome to attend any of the concerts for free. Please see the email: [email protected]
We will have a late lunch provided at UNR (likely pizza) – please bring snacks and eat a late breakfast.
Dress requirements: Golden Strings T-shirt (to be provided), Black pants (no sweats, leggings, jeggings, skirts, or other casual garments), all black shoes, black socks.
