We need 3 parent chaperones to join us on this field trip.
The WCSD Orchestra Festival is part of the curriculum for string students. Parents are welcome to attend the performances at UNR. This is a special opportunity for Billinghurst to perform on the Nightingale Concert Hall stage.
The event will happen during the school day and all students need to communicate with teachers in order to get make-up work.
The costs of this trip have already been covered through fundraising and the orchestra fee from the beginning of the year.
Students must arrive at school already dressed in Billinghurst Performing Arts uniform: black Performing Arts shirt, black pants, black socks/nylons, all-black shoes. No leggings, jeggings, skirts, shorts, sweats or ripped jeans.
This is a curricular event and worth 300 points. Students who do not return the permission form or do not show up to school ready to participate (dressed, instrument, music) will not be allowed to participate and will earn a zero. Please help your son or daughter be prepared. Students are welcome to borrow from the Billinghurst Black Clothes Closet but must do this BEFORE Monday morning.
Advanced will perform: Pine Mountain, Danza de la Vida, and Boundless Spirit.
Concert will perform: M to the Third Power, Across the Crescent Moon, Woodsplitter’s Fanfare
Basses will be transported by Max Neidhold in a separate vehicle. Students need to deliver the basses to that vehicle and not expect Max to move all of the instruments.
